Chocolate Chip Cookies with Peanut Butter Chips
Following a recipe for a dreamy, decadent, but super simple peanut butter chocolate chip cookie

- Quarter cups or about 270 grams of all-purpose flour
- Three-quarters of a teaspoon of baking soda
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- Two sticks or about 230 grams of unsalted room-temperature butter
- A cup and a half of smooth peanut butter
- Three-quarters of a cup of light brown sugar
- Two-thirds of a cup of granulated sugar
- Two teaspoons of vanilla extract
- Two large eggs
- A cup and a half of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Mix the Wet Ingredients
First off, mix the dry ingredients like all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. You can also garnish the cookie with beautiful flakes of sea salt at the end,
so you get a nice salty finish. Set it up and give it a quick whisk and set it aside.
Mix the Dry ingredients
Add butter in the bowl of stand mixer fixed with the paddle attachment. Then cream it up for a few seconds.
Now add smooth peanut butter and supermarket-branded smooth peanut butter that has a lot of emulsifiers and other ingredients.
That will make the cookie a bit more stable. Remember, adding more peanut butter will increase the peanut butter flavor and also make them like just super crispy and they’ll dissolve in your mouth.
Less peanut butter clearly lessens the flavor, but the cookies will be a bit stronger and less crumbly.
Again, mix both ingredients for a few seconds. Put brown sugar and granulated sugar to the mixture. The white sugar will make the cookie spread out more, and the brown sugar will give it a bit of cake.
Mix the ingredients until they become a little bit lighter, creamier, and fluffier. Now add vanilla extract and an egg and mix them up. Add the second egg.
Then put the dry ingredients into the mixture and mix until you are confident about the dough. Add milk chocolate and mix this for a few seconds, then fold it in by hand.

If you use more peanut butter, the cookies will deliver more flavors, but they won’t get a solid structure and they will start falling apart.
